Jim spent 30 years destroying his health and sanity on a wheat farm near the village of Pallamallawa in northwest NSW, Australia. He learnt that nothing is ever so bad that you can’t get a laugh out of it. 'Beetle Creek', his first bush humor novel (published 2006), is his fond tribute to a bygone era, a celebration of the bush and its colourful characters. No crocodiles - plenty of sheep. Jim has retired to Brisbane, Queensland, where he lives happily ever after with wife, Julie.
