My hometown is still my hometown, Charlotte, NC. I have been in accounting for over twenty five years. Writing is one of my creative outlets. My daughter has been the major influence in my writing. Blowing through soft winds I breathe
Desire for freedom in the air,
Passionate whispers of the needs
For acceptance, for hope and care.
How to this dream can we succumb,
Within a world too full of hate,
Where greed and power overcome
And fears and prejudice berate?
But tight to my faith I do hold.
Whispers will grow to voices bold.

Our Children
Fleeting moments in time
The days speed by so fast,
The babes we cradled once
Seem so far in the past.
Our children so vibrant
With toys and games galore,
Endless days of playing
But now there’s something more.
The need to help others,
To be responsible,
Expanding their boundaries,
Growing knowledgeable.

To solve the world’s woes,
So simple the answers
That these young persons know.
