Sweet Addiction
A sweet addiction:
It occupies my mind,
And sanity gets harder to find.
His heart beats on mine, and it doth grind.
Skin’s only so thick, but his stare cuts rind.
To fall for me? Well, love is blind,
But not the callous, hateful kind!
This operation operates as a bind.
A playful laugh and lust combined,
Although outside I remain refined.
Just for the good grace of mankind.
And the other’s jokes do remind,
I’ve promised and, for that, I’m confined.
I’ll never know your love or con,
The way you would say our love has shone,
My beautiful bastard. You sweet addiction,
But my dreams go on.
