Somewhere in "Om"

“Source”, “Sentience”, “Energy”, “Wisdom”,

“Knowing”, “Compassion”, “Empathy”, “Love”

“Authenticity”, “Destiny”, “Faith” . . .

At what point will we reach all that can

Be said – a tipping point beyond which

We transcend words and rise up into

Something higher, deeper and wider

In that space behind and between words –

A connected knowing leading to

And resulting from a yearning toward

Continuity of Consciousness

Where the edges of separation

Soften until imperceptible?

We spin individual cocoons

Of words that constrain life’s true meaning

And separate ourselves from others

Thinking our poetic arrangements

Will somehow lead to understanding –

That our essence might clearly be known

Or our words will create impetus

Behind breakthrough shift in awareness.

Yet, in this current state of being

I am compelled to continue

Fortifying my cocoon of words

With still more words as the driving force

Pushing my growth yearns for expression

Though its nature cannot be contained

In a string of consonants and vowels.

The Force behind my words is the same

Force manifesting ascension toward

A plane of fewer and fewer words

As caterpillar’s drive to spin its

Cocoon will lead to its day of flight.

Deep down in primordial stirrings,

I feel us all approaching this place –

This next phase of being that resides

Somewhere in Omni-Language of “Om.”

I believe this as a butterfly

Believes in its own transformation –

Morphing in a shift of consciousness

Aching, becoming –shedding cocoon.

When all humanity spreads its wings

Within connected knowing of “Om”,

I trust there will be no cause for me

To write another word . . .

Once

Once
Upon
A time had
So long ago,
Misty eyes awoke
To see fairies dancing
Spryly in the morning’s dew,
Whilst unicorns nibbled clover
On a hill climbed by giants to view
Mermaids swimming in the ocean nearby;
Snuggly blankets granted us protection
Against monsters entering our room,
Magical dreams soothed us in sleep
And our innocence was blessed
As fairies’ dancing loomed
In stars sparkling light
Upon a time
Long ago
We had
Once

Safe Keeping

With infant child at her breast

She softly whispers a lullaby –

The room clothed in

Darkness, save for a

Single bar of moonlight

That spills through the

Window.

The hope of the future is

Momentarily held within

Protective arms –

In this gift

Of a child –

Who has declared

His love unconditionally

Puppies Delight….

Puppies Delight…..

Sweet little puppy only hours old,
shaking and twitching, are you cold.
Wrapped in a towel, your fur to dry,
you wiggle and squeak but you do not cry.
Eyes closed tight, your tongue of pink,
brothers and sisters coming in a wink.
Better move over make room for another,
guess who is getting tired, not you, your mother.

How many birthdays do we celebrate,
two, four, five, isn’t this just great.
Brown fur, orange fur, tan and white,
everyone is certainly going to sleep well tonight.

All is quiet, puppies together huddle,
mama is sleeping with her proud little bundle.
Three beautiful girls, two handsome boys,
pleasant dreams, think of all the new toys.

A special bed for puppies and mama,
tomorrow we will introduce the proud papa.
Patiently he waits in his house outside,
waiting for the big doors to burst open wide.

Two kitty cats they will meet when they are older,
too soon for now they need to be much bolder.
All in good time when they are strong and sound,
they will meet face to face on solid ground.

Mama stays close to her babies at play,
in the corner is papa keeping the kitties at bay.
They wrestle, they waddle, tumble and roll,
so active at play, the day takes its toll.

Mama signals, time to settle down, go in,
proudly leading her puppies, see her grin.
Papa stays close, he follows in the rear,
making sure his babies have nothing to fear.

"Winds of Freedom"

Blowing through soft winds I breathe
Desire for freedom in the air,
Passionate whispers of the needs
For acceptance, for hope and care.

How to this dream can we succumb,
Within a world too full of hate,
Where greed and power overcome
And fears and prejudice berate?

But tight to my faith I do hold.
Whispers will grow to voices bold.
The winds will grow to one strong gale.
Freedom and peace can now prevail.

Infinite Universe….

Infinite Universe….

Demands of the day have halted to a hush,
all is quiet now, the hour is late.
Time to think, to clear out the mind,
a chance to make sense of all on the plate.

Take a walk outside, feel the sand at my feet,
glowing moon is overhead hiding in clouds.
Ocean water lapping a slow and steady rhythm,
while the sand glistens draped in veils and shrouds.

Gentle breeze kisses my face with such flair,
suble scent of salt is noticed with each inhale.
Take a deep breath and welcome mother nature in,
deeply into your soul where life never grows stale.

A peaceful time being one with nature,
darkness surrounds, a slight chill in the air.
The vastness of the ocean keeps calling me closer,
I am drawn, so drawn to understand her flair.

A creation of God built with two loving hands,
always different, yet the same everywhere.
As I recline back resting on the heated sand,
vastness of the infinite universe appears to share.

Illuminating moon like a lighthouse in the sky,
becomes the guiding light for all life of old.
Lying there in awe of the beauty knowing,
with each twinkling new star a story is told.

What exactly do we have, what is there left,
when all being done is distroy and plunder.
It has been said we learn from past mistakes,
however, without God what have we, I wonder.
