“Time” - A Poem By Katalyn Louis Parks

A whisper cracks,

Shattering the Earth,

Lonely heartbeats,

A dull and sweet sound.

Beneath the tremble of pain,

An automatic stop.

Not to mention blue,

A blue black scar,

That will never fade.

Never fade.

No matter what they say.

Fighting safety to reach your peers,

The “tut” of a heartbeat,

Your mother’s voice,

Your father’s voice,

Becoming nothing with time.

Something told but not to you,

It wanders to your ear,

A simple nod or shake,

It tells,

Telling of your future,

Who will I be in time?
